BC Grape meet Chef, Chef meet BC Grape…as if they didn’t already know each other.
With the amazing BC VQA wines we have and the desire from so many Chefs to source their products locally, why not take this opportunity to celebrate the partnership between the two?
The 9th annual ChefmeetsBCGrape is this largest annual tasting of BC VQA wines in Vancouver and will be held on Wednesday, June 5th at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre East (999 Canada Place).
Sommeliers, aficionados and wine lovers will explore 95 wineries pouring more than 350 award-winning wines. They will also have the opportunity to chat directly with the winemakers about the craft behind “creating local wines with international appeal”.
Sixteen restaurants, from The Patio at Nk’Mip in the Okanagan Valley, to Cibo Trattoria in the heart of Vancouver, will prepare sweet and savoury dishes to be paired with the selected BC VQA wines. While the Chefs are creating dishes for the guests, they will also compete onsite for the Best Pairing Plate and Best Overall Dish awards.
